As Women's Month in South Africa draws to a close, we can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and pride. This month has been a profound celebration of the incredible journey we've embarked on to make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
We are humbled to share the news that we have not only met but exceeded our ambitious goal for this year: providing over one million meals to those in need. Even more remarkable, we reached this milestone by mid-year.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment of our incredible team and partners. At the heart of our mission is Themba Chalumbira, the mother One Moment Foundation, our Co-Founder and Director.
Mama-Themba's tireless efforts, sleepless nights and boundless dedication have been an inspiration to us all. She's not just a leader; she's the driving force behind the positive change we're bringing to our communities.
Reaching over one million meals fed is a monumental milestone for us, and we could not have done it without the support of our partners. We currently work alongside 8 giving partners, 12 doing partners, 15 food centers, and 12 early learning centers. Together, we've created a network that reaches deep into the heart of communities in need, making a lasting impact on countless lives.
Our food centers are run by incredible women who are on the front lines, working tirelessly to feed and support their communities. Their unwavering commitment is nothing short of remarkable, and we are immensely proud of their dedication.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to the women within One Moment Foundation who wake up every day to cook and feed the homeless without fail. Their steadfast dedication, even in the face of immense challenges, has been a shining example of compassion and resilience.
This Women's Day month, we celebrate not only our achievements but also the extraordinary women who have made it all possible. Together, we've demonstrated the power of compassion, dedication and leadership in creating a brighter future for those in need.
