LESSONS AND LEARNINGS

-
Need for food has been growing exponentially
-
Major needs and vulnerable people are in the townships, squatter camps, smaller towns and villages and not only city centers.
-
There are a lot of good Samaritans and major NGOs that focus on sourcing food from retailers; farmers and the food value chain;
-
The cost of getting and distributing food gets higher as you go out of cities
-
HUGE GAP IN THE CAPACITY & CAPABILITY OF LOCAL COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS & SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS TO MANAGE, PREPARE AND DISTRIBUTE FOOD CONSISTENTLY & SUSTAINABLY.
